This fine hotel originally a 16th century farm house situated at Shaw in the county of Wiltshire less than 9 miles from Bath, the best preserved roman city in the country and 16 miles from Bristol, the capital of the southwest. The hotel is privately owned and managed by Gay & John Lewis. Their twin sons, Nick & Paul, provide the finest english and french cuisine for the restaurant. Together with the rest of the hand picked staff they provide a warm and friendly atmosphere and unparalleled service for all.

The hotel is set in its own acre of well kept grounds with plenty of car parking space and a peaceful sun patio for those drinks before dinner on a warm summer evening and everything is complemented by a warm and friendly bar for the cold winter nights.

The hotel has been home to the local Round Table for 9 years and has hosted the Rotarian club meeting on Tuesday evening since the beginning of 1990.

We have a wide range of clientele from long and short stay business people, vacationers passing through or basing themselves here to visit the great many local attractions to catering for  weekend wedding parties and receptions.
